Downtown Dallas

This was a trip taken to downtown dallas. There's more pictures, just the most interesting one I could find. Perhaps I will post more. Hope everyone's week started out well!

Massive Clouds

I've been out for a while finishing up this semester and just relaxing afterwards. Here is a shot I got from the top of a garage. As I was driving on that highway in this shot I noticed those massive clouds so I had to take a shot. I also bought a Mamiya RB67 this weekend and learned how to use it. Now all I need to do is buy a film scanner. Overall great weekend for Courtney and I.

Sunset 2-14-2009

This shot was taken on Valentine's day! Quite a while back but one of my favorite shots by far. I went out to the Parker area and I remember the clouds were moving in quickly so I had to set up fast. I tried to make sure the framing was good but I'm not sure that worked out so well. Here's the shot though!

:)

Take care!

Wheat Field

What a semi-final clash between Chelsea and Barcelona, too much for words. Although I believe Barcelona were truly outclassed today, but they came out on top. Chelsea should have finished this match though as they had more one on one chances with the keeper than Barcelona. The ref is being criticized too much for his calls but this was an intense match, you just cannot sit back and expect the ref to call a penalty for some electric attacking and defending. I am 100% behind the ref though, excellent refereeing for a match of this caliber.

Well back to the photography. Courtney and I went scouting for potential shoots for my final, but that has taken a totally different direction now. We came across a wheat farm field that was way past the Mckinney area. The color of the field and the really cloudy sky came out interesting. I like the warmth of the field and somewhat cold feel to the clouds (although it was pretty good temperature out there at the time of the shot). Perhaps I will go back again and attempt some more shots.

Thank you and take care!

CityScape

Well today was the 2nd Leg of the Champions League Semi-Final match between Arsenal and Manchester United. Of course United came out on top of this one, too much class. Lets hope that Barcelona can prevail tomorrow against Chelsea to ensure what would perhaps be described as one of the most terrific finals in he history of the Champions League. Barcelona vs. Manchester United, sounds epic in it's own mind, these are two teams fully stacked for the most prestigious of matches.

Anyway, here is a Cityscape I took a while back. This was shot at the top of a multi-story parking garage off of Northwest Hwy and 75. Took several but this is the one I preferred best. This was shot with a Nikon D80 just barely after the sun set, into the twilight. Fifteen second exposure to get the nice effect going.

Alas, until next midnight, or earlier? :)

Take care

Only the beginning...

I've been through several blog sites, last one being the Xanga community, but I really don't blog there. I am a small time photographer, I enjoy it a lot so this will be a place for some of it. I really hope to pursue this further and maybe one day enjoy a living from it, until then though I am just a dreamer.
